Yar.
Don't be wireframe monkeys or work from a screen list or make a site map until you've designed a solution that meets the requirements in a way that stakeholders accept and pay for. (Now can I do wireframes?)
Unless you're one of the few remaining people who are doing "website redesigns." (Oh yeah, here's a list of the screens that need to be redesigned...I'll have those wireframes next week, right? Oh - and here are the comps. Hurry, we've got to start building this thing last week in order to hit our arbitrary launch date."
Crystal Light.
BA's are sometimes like human shields in this line of work.

I think what Tim was trying to say was: you can't work with BA's, so don't even try.... but that was probably just the Crystal Light speaking... or perhaps he was trying to say that in the best case, with a talented BA, you can get them to do things that will make your life way easier, like:On Thu, May 8, 2008 at 10:50 PM, Tim Richards <[address removed]> wrote:
Alright. I'll throw in my hat...or, towel...or, something...
BA's. You know I love'em.
1. Get stakeholders to tell you the requirements in a cogent, non-contradictory way
2. Document hidden business rules and other things that need documenting (that list of 47 airports for that one dropdown)
3. Write specifications that you don't have to write.
