  • Sandy Lee
"Great meeting with great people! I would like to hear a brief introduction about the hosting company's UX group and their activities. It would give good insight into the company especially if they?re looking to hire UX professionals. "

"It didn't go as I'd planned, and I wish I had allocated more time to letting people mingle and network. That said, I do think that we learned a lot about what does and doesn't contribute to the design process. Thanks again to everyone who participated, and especially to the people who volunteered to facilitate discussion at the tables."

  • Carol
"Friendly people, good networking, interesting table topics! My only request is that we introduce ourselves to the whole group at the beginning -- we usually do this when Weston runs the meetings and someone suggested it but last night but it didn't happen. It is a networking group after all :-)"

"I thought it went well. Wish I had been better organized as usual, but the UX community is really generous with their time and their smarts and their experience. Of course we missed Weston and Craig, but I think people did take some good things away."

  • Jonathan Lane
"I had a great time. Definitely end with folks looking for work and folks offering jobs. Have them gather in a corner to exchange business cards and chat (so that they don't have to chase each other)."

  • Jeremiah Cohick
"I liked the tables and getting to discuss our different experiences. I would also like more discussion of ID. The blond guy leading all of the discussions was hot."

  • Ashley Tarnow
"I always love networking. This time there wasn't much time and opportunity to meet everyone who attended. Maybe next time shorten the table times and allow people to just talk and network with everyone at different tables. Also maybe we can try to change up the platform from table topics. "

  • Mark Wilson
"Well planned and lead. Great meeting space at Yahoo. Let's do it again!"

  • Bert Chen
"Great meeting. Too much time devoted to one topic. Perhaps we should have switched once. Also, discussions are hit or miss depending on the mix of people, so mixing it up at least once is more likely to result in at least one good grouping of people."

  • Gary Minnaert
"I was with a very interesting group and we had a very valuable discussion. It was excellent being in contact with others doing UX work in LA."

  • Jody Perez
"It would have been nice if we could have switched tables more so that we could have interacted with more people other than the one at the table we spent the majority of the session with."

  • Brian
"Was interesting for discussions sake. I learned more about what its like at my other group mates companies than anything else which isn't a bad thing. Would have liked to meet more people though as I'm new to the area. Felt a bit disconnected at times though."
