IxDA Event - Nudge +
A coffee house in Holland decided to attract people by providing free wi-fi. To deal with free-loading students that wouldn't even look at the menu, the coffee house used the wi-fi UI to push their message. When visitors try to connect, they have to select "HaveYouTriedTheCarrotCake?" as the wireless network.

This is called a nudge and it is what we will be discussing in the next IxDA meeting. Sarah G. Mitchell will be leading a discussion based on the book from Richard H Thaler and Cass R. Sunstein (Obama's head of Information and Regulatory Affairs) titled "Nudge:Improving Decisions about Health, Wealth and Happiness". It breaks down the effects of defaults, option placement and other aspects of choice architecture.

Parking is free after 7pm at the Starbucks parking structure.

What's the plus in the title mean?
